Vsmile HappyZir Zirconia Disc Family  ( Products Introduction &  Selection Guide )
Zirconia launched not only as the strongest ceramic ever used in dental—but also with the benefits of a large marketing budget. These two factors resulted in rapid acceptance of this new framework material.
Today, there are three primary categories of zirconia discs in Vsmile HappyZir Zirconia family, each with different flexural strengths:
Framework materials(HT): 1350 MPa
High translucency (ST SHT) for full contour bridges: 1100-1200 MPa
Ultra translucent (UT) for Anterior single units and 3 unit bridges: 700 MPa
3D Multi-colored & multi-translucency
The HT highest strength materials are for frameworks and used for hybrid implant custom abutments, its kind of our first generation zirocnia ,only white color available . And ST and UT have been designed as monolithic materials and layered zirconia material .
Within ST and UT category, there are now three sub categories of materials:
White (with and without matching green state coloring systems)
Pre-shaded, 16 different pre-shades
Multi-shaded, 16 different pre-shades

White Zirconia Disc
Coloring and Obtaining Final Shades
With proper technique,You can obtain very natural esthetics, especially when combining Vsmile white zirconia disc, a matched coloring system, and a well-trained technician.
TWO COLORING TECHNIQUES RECOMMEND
Hybrid technique—start with brushing an inhibitor or enamel shade to the incisal area and then dipping the crown as discussed above. The inhibitor generally has no color, but partially fills the pores of the zirconia. As a result, when dipped, the body shade penetrates less, leaving
the incisal area where the inhibitor or enamel shade was painted less chromatic.
Brush technique—the application of all colorants by using a brush. This technique will result in the most esthetic results. However, there is a learning curve to obtaining consistency with this process.
Generally speaking, many coloring systems were designed to be used with one specific disc or family of discs; when applying these colorants to other discs, obtaining shades can be problematic.for best green state coloring results, we recommended to use a Vsmile’s matched disc, liquids set, and recommended techniques.

Pre-shaded Discs
Vsmile Pre-shaded zirconia discs are made by adding small percentages of yellow, pink, gray powders to white powder prior to pressing.
Advantages
Consistent shade match
Lower labor as no green state shading is needed
Shade consistency throughout the full depth of the restoration

Disadvantages
Increased disc inventory
Monochromatic restorations
Depending on the system, increased surface stains needed

Multi Layered Discs
As the next generation of the zirconia evolution, Vsmile Multi Layered zirconia pucks are made having different color formulas through the disc. For instance, the bottom 1/3 of the disc could be shade A3, the middle A2, and the top 1/3 white with some gray added. Vsmile Multi layered zirconia discs are currently readily available in 20different shade systems(Vita 16shades + 4 Bleach Shades)
One consideration that can be problematic: positioning the STL file in the disc during CAM operation. This material may not be a good choice for 4 axial mills as the positioning of the units should not be based on path of insertion, but rather the distribution of colors as it relates to the crown.
Advantages
Reduces manufacturing cycle
Superior esthetics
Enables competitive advantage

Disadvantages
Must use 5 axis mill
Care must be taken when placing STL files in the virtual disc so color placement is correct.

Latest Option: 3D Multi-Translucent
Vsmile 3D Zirconia Disc offers a combination of multi translucencies and colors. These discs will be most opacious and more chromatic in the bottom or cervical part of the disc, while the middle will be less opaque and lower in chroma and have less strength (1050 MPa), and the top of the disc will be 14% more translucent than the cervical with a flexural strength of 700 MPa.
This type of disc has several different layers with a blended zone between each. In addition to translucency transitions, there are shade transitions as well. To date, this disc will provide the most life-like restorations possible for restoration.

PROS
No green state coloring needed
A disc and crown with both color and translucency gradations
Likely the most esthetic material available

CONS
Crown must be positioned or rotated during CAM correctly in the disc for correct color placements.
Increased inventory
Increased disc cost
Selecting the right zirconia for your production will remain lab- specific. Offering and milling from multiple zirconia categories is now nearly essential to compete and thrive.
